Consultation Opens for 2027–28 NDIS Pricing

Introduction

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has opened consultation for the 2027–28 Annual Pricing Review, inviting NDIS participants, providers and the wider disability community to share their views on NDIS pricing.

The review will consider whether current pricing arrangements support access to quality supports and services, and whether changes may be needed for the 2027–28 financial year.

The NDIA will consider both participant outcomes and provider viability as part of the review.

What is the 2027–28 Annual Pricing Review?

The Annual Pricing Review is part of the NDIA’s process for considering NDIS prices and pricing arrangements for the upcoming financial year.

For the 2027–28 review, the consultation will look more closely at pricing for several commonly claimed support areas, including:

Disability support worker-related supports
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Therapy
Social and community participation
Support Coordination

The consultation is intended to gather information and perspectives that can help inform the NDIA’s recommendations for NDIS prices and pricing arrangements for 2027–28.

What is the NDIA asking participants about?

NDIS participants are being invited to provide feedback on areas including:

Provider preferences
Quality of supports
Value for money
Access to NDIS supports

This feedback will contribute to the broader Annual Pricing Review process.

NDIS providers are being asked to share information about areas such as:

The consultation provides an opportunity for providers to contribute information about the factors that may affect the delivery of NDIS supports and services.

Consultation period

The consultation opened on 17 September 2026 and closes on 1 November 2026.

The NDIA said the consultation will build on feedback received during the previous Annual Pricing Review consultation, which attracted nearly 3,000 responses.

Feedback gathered through the current consultation will be considered by the NDIA when forming recommendations for NDIS prices and pricing arrangements for the 2027–28 financial year.
